Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Aaj Aur Kal (1947)
Maharaja (Ashok Kumar) is a strict Raja who doesn't want to lose his kingdom after India becomes free. His daughter Hemlata (Nanda) is handicapped & he calls Dr Sanjay (Sunil Dutt) to cure her. Sanjay falls in love with Hemlata. But Raja doesn't like this. He has one more daughter Asha Lata (Tanujal who is against her father Raja's sons Yuvraaj Pratap & Raj Kumar Rajendra Singh (Deven Verma) also turn against their father. But Hemlata loves her father & doesn't want to go against him. She is cares for Sanjay's love but her father's love stops her from going back to Sanjay. This is when the theree children rebel against the Maharaja & leave the palace leaving Hemlata who isn't ready to go against her father's wishes. However, later on when Maharaja tries to shoot Dr Sanjay who has come to visit her, Hemlate decides to leave her father & the palace for love. But in the end, all get together & Raja realises his mistake & agrees to his children's wishes.
