Aankhon Aankhon Mein is a 1972 Indian Bollywood social film released on 1972. The film is directed by Raghunath Jhalani, produced by Vijay Kumar , music composed by Shankar-Jaikishan.

Kulwant Rai is a prominent and wealthy businessman. He relies solely on his son, Rakesh, to run his business. His second son, Naresh, is a bit of a slacker, unreliable, and is born out of marriage with his second, wife, Shobha. When Sunderlal passes away suddenly, Shobha entrusts the entire business dealings on Rakesh, and has Naresh assist him. Naresh gambles, and even molests a woman employee, and is severely reprimanded by Rakesh. Naresh, and his maternal uncle, instigate Shobha against Rakesh, who humiliates him, and as a result Rakesh leaves the house. He takes up employment in the far regions of Himachal Pradesh, in Northern India, which includes the construction of a dam. This news does not auger well with the local tribesmen, and they warn and assault him, but Rakesh persists, and is able to convince the head of the tribe, Thakur, of his good intentions. Things take a turn for the worse...


Aankhon Aankhon Mein is a story of a problem that has plagued fathers and mothers sons and daughters from time immemorial. Different individuals have faced this very human problem in variuos ways some have merely chosen to ignore it and to belive that it does not exist. But can it be ignored? Will anyone any mother be allowed to believe that her step son is not different from her own son? Shobha was one noble woman who believed it to be so that both -son and step son- were equal in her eyes, in her affection. If it be at all possible she was closer to her step son than her own son. This was something Shobhas own brother would not tolerate. . Rakesh took up an assignment as an engineer at a Community project. The most colourful character in this district was Thakur, whose entire existince was woven around his charming innocent daughter Paro. Paro was not Thakurs natural born daughter, Paro was taken away by her grandfather from the rustic backgrounds to the sophistication of a metro-politian town and here again it was destiny having lent a hand in bringing Paro and Rakesh, together.
