Aapki Parchhaiyan is a 1964 Indian Bollywood film released on 1964. This is the story of Man, and Woman his faithful shadow.... and where the substance shall go so surely the shadow must follow. . Rekha daughter of a millionaire, married Baldev, Lala Dinanaths elder son. Lala Dinanath earned a mere pittance of Rs.150-00 per month and had mortaged his house to pay for Baldevs medical education. Although Rekha was sincere in fitting herself with the changed circumstances, her husband suffered from a terrible inferiority complex due to their proverty. This complex son created a barrier within the family, and Rekha too, was gradually influenced by her husbands ways. The rift was complete. Baldev and Rekha left to live separately. . Channi, Lala Dinanaths second son, loved his parents dearly. He was also very much in love with Asha, Vilayti Rams beautiful daughter, but could not think of marriage under their financial circumstances. Lala Dinanath had been unable to repay the loan on the house which was to be auctioned, and though Baldev was now earning well from his medical practice he would not come to his fathers aid to save the house. The house was lost, and to add to therir misery, the old man was struck blind to be completely at the mercy of Baldev and Rekha. . Channi decided to go to Calcutta to seek his fortune. He was successful to get a good job, and returned home to take his parents along with him to Calcutta. But the old couple, grief stricken at the sequence of events, were not to be found.
