Ranbir, the son of a successful judge always helped the poor. Surhila on the other hand came from a poor family. Ranbir was loved by everybody. One day as he was passing a house he heard the shrieks of a woman and realised that a man was trying to rape her. He saved her and thus got inroduced to Surhila. Ranbir had a good friend - Swarajit and he requested Surhila to stay in Swarjit's house. When Ranbir's father came to know this, he got angry with his son. Ranbir married Surhila much against his father's wishes and took her home. His father did not accept her and made Ranbir promise him that Surhila would never become a mother. When Surhila came to know this she was very upset but she accepted her father-in-law's words. In the meanwhile, Bikram Singh, an anti-social element was arrested by police and the judge sent him to jail for three years. After leaving the jail Bikram wanted to take his revenge on the judge. The judge was Ranbir's father. Bikram kidnapped Mimi, Ranbir's sister. Everybody thought that Surhila had hatched this plan. When Surhila came to know this,she was determined to save Mimi. So she went to North Bengal and there she got into trouble herself. Finally the police came to the rescue of the two women and peace was restored in the family.
