Aradhana 1978

Aradhana is a 1978 Indian Bengali drama film released on 1978. The film is directed by Shakti Samanta, produced by Shakti Samanta.

An Air Force Officer falls in love with a doctor's daughter when he visits Bagdogra. Eventually they tie the knot in a temple. One day the officer was getting ready to go to Delhi to fetch his uncle and aunt. But he died in an accident. His family refused to recognise his pregnant wife. She started living on her own and then gave birth to a baby boy whom she sent to an orphanage for a temporary period of time. However the very next day the little boy was taken away by a couple. In the interim period while she was tried and imprisoned for murder, her son grew up into an air force office like his father. After her release she put up at the jailor's house. His daughter was in love with the son she had forsaken years ago. A happy reunion between mother and son takes place and all ends on a joyful note.
