Story
The story of Kill Dil starts from Tutu and Dev. These are two orphans who are raised by a local gangster, Bhaiyaji. Their life takes a U-turn when they meet with Disha and Dev falls in love with her. Dev now has no focus on his profession and this disturbs Bhaiyaji. Tutu helps him in this. Now after this, one day when Dev wants to leave his job, Tutu helps him and he agrees to this on one condition that he would accompany him wherever he is required. He joins and insurance company and starts doing a job with fake MBA degree. So, when Bhaiyaji comes to know of Dev’s reality, he decides to kill him. He sends his goon to kill him. Bhaiyaji also reveals his identity to Disha and she decides to be separated from him. But after getting to know what actually made him a goon, she decides to get married to him. By Bollywood standards, the movie has enough fodder to hook and book you to your seats for two hours. Three stars for `Kill Dil`! And if you are a movie-buff then go home humming ..

My review of Kill Dil (2014) by bangreaayushi
jyothimathur, 9 years agoMixing and matching!The movie is all about ‘Mix and match concepts’. The film has been derived from many stories and has been combined to form a single story. The film starts with the introduction of Dev (Ranveer Singh) and Tutu(Ali Zafar). They are termed as the two ‘haramis’ working together for an underworld gig, 'Godfather'Bhaiyaaji (Govinda). He picked them from the dustbin and is now feeding them with shelter and food. The two grows under his surveillance and turn out to be two goons working with him as professional killers. Then in Dev’s life enters Disha who is a dancer. Dev saves her in a night club and after few meetings, both of them fall in love for each other. Dev hides his real identity and decides to give up all his criminal activities only for Disha. Tutu who helps him in getting him a MBA degree by illegal means helps Dev. Yet the story reveals much more after this with Disha coming to know of Dev’s real identity. She decides to leave him and even Dev’s godfather decides to kill him. Now there comes a twist in the story and the story is taken ahead. The story catches your attention in the first half but somewhere, it is boring in the second half. Talking about the performances, Ranveer and Ali have perfectly suited in the ‘so-called haramis’ shoes. Govinda as a godfather had done justice with the character. The audiences saw a different side of Parineeti this time. She had blunted herself in the glamorous avtar. But, this is not what Parineeti can do. She should think of reinventing herself the next time. The perfect love chemistry between Ranveer and Parineeti is good but on the way, you really cannot expect more than this. The film’s quality script is not upto that mark. You feel compacted with the direction of the film. The songs of the film are outstanding with great efforts by Mahadevan, Ehsaan and Loy leaves you speechless. The film’s dialogues have been strong and there is nothing more matching your expectations. -
