Kirathaka is a 1988 Indian Kannada film released on Jan 14, 1988. The film is directed by V Somasekhar, produced by A Anand , music composed by Hamsalekha. Nandisha (Yash), who is fondly called Kirataka, is a wayward youth in the village and is a tormentor with his gang. His father (TS Nagabharana), who lives in Dubai, is sending money to his mother (Tara) for livelihood. Nandisha smartly snatches money from her and spends it for playing cards, smoking and drinking. He falls in love with Nethra (Oviya), whose brother lives in a small village that has strong rivalry to his village. How he gets his lady love is an interesting story.
