Nidaan 2000

Nidaan is a 2000 Indian Bollywood social film released on Jul 28, 2000. The film is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, produced by R. V. Pandit.
Soumya Nadkarni lives a wealthy living in Mumbai along with her daddy, Anirudh, and mother, Suhasini. She is a science graduate in Second Year Junior with I.B. Institute, and is a fan of Bollywood star, Sanjay Dutt. As a child she had her appendix taken out, and as an adult is frozen of surgical needles. When her beau, Ninad Kamat, participates in a blood donation camp, she decides to take her fears, and donates blood. She then gives her final exams, but becomes ill on the last day. She is tested by Dr. S.D. Potnis, who tells her to have complete bed rest, and detects her and says she may have Malaria. Her fever endures for two months, and she undergoes more medical examinations. Then her fever diminishes, but Anirudh finds out that his girl is HIV positive. Distracted, he confides in Suhasini, and they decide to keep this thing within themselves. But when Soumya figures out, she decides to live a very normal life, and forces on getting married to Ninad.
