Shikar 2006

Shikar is a 2006 Indian Bengali drama film released on 2006. The film is directed by Saran Dutta.

Baburam Panja, an astrologer in disguise, is actually runs a murder gang, who kills anybody for money. Saheb, Hero and Khyapa are the three members of the gang. They are expert in killing people. Police officer Rajesh Yadav doubts Baburam as the leader of the gang. But the lower rank police informers work also for Baburam. So, Baburam makes a plan. He pickes up Bimal, look alike Saheb, by police. Bimal is beaten to death in the police lock-up. Bimal's wife Seema was sent to the brother. Both Bimal and Seema were simple, ordinary couple. Seema wants to commit suicide. But Reshmi, a prostitute, and others save her life. Saheb, Khyapa and Hero take shelter in the brothel. Saheb comes to know about Baburam's plot. Saheb becomes furious. He dislikes the punishment of a innocent couple, like Seema and Bimal. As Bimal is already dead, he and his associates decide to save Seema from the clutch of Baburam. He decides to kill Baburam. Rajesh Yadav also came to know that actually Bimal was beaten to death, not Saheb. And Saheb is still alive in the brothel. The higher officer suggests Rajesh to use Baburam as bait in the hunting. Baburam is the bait, Saheb is the tiger Rajesh is the hunter. Saheb will kill Baburam, and then Rajesh will kill Saheb and his associates. Saheb and his associates kill Baburam. The Police Started firing after that Khyapa and Hero died. Saheb was released by Rajesh. Injured Saheb comes to Seema. Seema at first disliked Saheb but later started liking him, became it was not his plan to trap Bimal. Saheb was unaware of the whole plot. He was innocent. At last Seema left the brothel with Saheb for a new life.
