The Legend Of Kunal is a 2015 Indian Bollywood mythological film released on 2015. The film is directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, produced by Amitabh Bachchan. The film The Legend Of Kunal is the story of a strange and loving relationship between King Ashoka, played by Amitabh Bachchan, and his son Veera Kunal, played by Arjun Rampal. The film is set in 240 BC and starts when the emperor converted to Buddhism. Another angle to the film is Tabu's sexual attraction towards stepson Rampal who is married to Amrita Rao, playing Kanchanmala. While Tabu plays a woman suffering from sexual despair, the two spouses, Amitabh and Amrita are silent onlookers. Kunal, named after a Himalayan bird with beautiful eyes, was born a year before the great war of Kalinga ended. There are conflicting documentations on what happened to him during his growing up as a prince. He was blinded by one of King Ashoka's wives, Tishyaraksha.
