Indubala is a Actor and also worked as Singer. Indubala has mostly worked in Hindi and has worked in languages like Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada.
She was born in November 1899. She was born in Amritsar, India. She died on 30 November 1984 in Calcutta, India. Her mother worked in ‘The Great Bengal Circus’, which was also known as Bose's Circus or Professor Bose's Circus. She was born as a premature baby. Her mother was given shelter in Calcutta by a Jiban Krishna Ghosh. Indubala got her training in music. It was Jiban Krishna Ghosh, who played a major role in establishing Indu as a great performer after her mother’s death. She was trained under by Kali Prasad Mishra, Elaahi Bux and Miss Gauhar Jaan. In 1916 year, she recorded her first songs. She recorded her first song "My name is Indubala". Her recorded songs were: "Cheyona Sunayana" and "Rumjhum Rumjhum Ke Eley Nupur Paye”. She got invitation from all across the world. She got invitation from: Shahjahanpur, Pakur, Madras, Bangalore, Palanpur, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Oudh, Trivandrum, Vizagapattam, Ajmer, Qoembatore, Dacca and several other places. She did movies like: Bengali Indira (1937), Hindi Deewali (1940), Swamsidhha (1947), Alibaba (1937), Chandragupt (1934) in Hindi, Ab E Hayat (1933) in Urdu and Dil Ki Pyaas (1935).
