She is a playback singer. She is known for the song ’Munni badnaam hai’. This song gave her the ‘filmfare award’ and many other awards. She was born on 7 September 1980 in Birla Nagar, Gwalior. She attended the ‘Saint Paul's School Morar Gwalior’. She sang for Bengali movies and Bhojpuri films also. She got her first break in the movie ‘Dabangg’. She got appreciation for this song. She then was flooded with many movie offers. She also sang the super hit song Kevvu Keka in the Telugu remake of Dabangg. She also made a special appearance in the movie ’Dabangg’.
