Meena Kumari is a Actor and also worked as Music Director, Singer, Dedicated to , Costumes Designer. Meena Kumari has mostly worked in Hindi and has worked in languages like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali.
She was born on 1 August 1932. She died on 31 March 1972. She was an Indian actress and a port. She was one of the most prominent actresses of Bollywood. She had worked in the movies such as Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam (1962), Chhoti Bahu etc. She got addicted to alcohol and this ruined her life and her relationships. She died due to liver cirrhosis in 1972. She was the third daughter of Ali Baksh and Iqbal Begum. She mostly played many mythological roles in the movies such as Shri Ganesh Mahima (1950), Veer Ghatotkach (1949), Aladdin Aur Jadui Chirag etc. Her roles in the movies such as Daera (1953), Sharada (1957), Parineeta (1953), Ek Hi Raasta (1956), and Dil Apna Aur Preet Parayi (1960) were appreciated. She fell in love with film director, Kamal Amrohi, who was already married. He was fifteen years older to her. She did many good movies and her roles were appreciated.
