Omar Sharif is a Actor. Omar Sharif has mostly worked in English and has worked in languages like English, Hindi.
He is the franco-Arabic actor. He is known for his work by portraying the character of Sherif Ali in Lawrence of Arabia (1962) and the title role in Doctor Zhivago (1965). He was nominated for an Academy Award and has won three Golden Globe Awards. He was born in Egypt. He was the son of Joseph Chalhoub who is a precious wood merchant, and Claire Saada. He completed his education from British Victoria College in Alexandria. He studied mathematics, physics, and languages. He is also fluent in Arabic, English, French, Greek, Italian and Turkish. His performance in the movie Lawrence of Arabia earned him a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture. He also did German movies like: The Night of the Generals, as Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria in Mayerling and as Che Guevara in Che!.
