Shriya Saran, the famous South Indian actress born in Dehradun and grew up in Ranipur with her small family where she is having her older brother Abhirup and mother who is a chemistry teacher in school and father Pushpendra who works at Bharat Heavy Metal Works. Her schooling was done in Delhi Public School and college from Lady Sri Ram College with a B.A degree in Literature. She took training for Kathak and Classical dance from the great Kathak guru Shobha Narayan. Shriya started her modelling career with advertisements and music albums and soon she became the brand ambassador for Brook bond and Red Label Tea. She was able to proof her caliber in the telugu film Ishtam(2001) even if the film was not successful. In 2002 she got another film named Santosham opposite to Nagarjuna which was a big hit. Some other hits from her are Nuvve, Bhageeratha and Chatrapati .Shriya also performed very well in tamil films like Ennaku 20 Unnaku 18 in 2003, mazhai in 2005, Azhagiya tamil Magan in 2007, Worked with Rajnikanth in Shivaji: The Boss .In Bollywood also Shriya has marked her acting strength in Tujhe Meri kasam (2003), Thoda Hum Badlo Thoda Tum (2004), Awaarpan (2007) and Mission Istanbul (2008).
