Sunil Dutt

He was born on 6 June 1929 and he died on 25 May 2005. He was born as Balraj Dutt. He was an Indian movie actor, producer, director and politician. He was also the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports in the Manmohan Singh government. His son, Sanjay Dutt and Priya Dutt were also the former Member of Parliament. He was given the Padma Shri award by the Government of India. He then joined the Indian National Congress party and was elected to Parliament of India for five terms from the constituency of Mumbai North West. He was born in a Punjabi family. The family got settled in Mandoli in Yamuna Nagar district of Haryana. He completed his education from Jai Hind College as an undergraduate and took up a job at the Mumbai's BEST Transport division. He was recognized after the film ’Mother India’. He married Nargis on 11 March 1958. He did movies like: Sadhna (1958), Sujata (1959), Mujhe Jeene Do (1963), Khandan (1965), Heera (1973), Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye (1974), Nagin (1976) and Jaani Dushman (1979) and Padosan (1967). After the death of his wife, he created the Nargis Dutt Foundation. He also won the ‘Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award’ for his contribution in the film industry. He died due to the Heart-attack.
