The movie was a commercial hit and it worked well on the box-office. She was born in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh and she was brought up in Chandigarh. Her father Mukesh Gautam is the head of the Punjabi channel. Her sister is also an actress. She is Surilie Gautam. She wanted to become an IAS, but she decided to become an actress. She did her regular schooling and then obtained a degree in law. After working in Vicky Donor, he worked in Total Siyappa. Yami is currently filming for Humara Bajaj and Action Jackson.
