Aabar Byomkesh is a 2012 Indian Bengali suspense,thriller,crime film released on Mar 23, 2012. The film is directed by Anjan Dutt, produced by Dag Creative Media , music composed by Neel Dutt.

This is Anjan Dutt's second film of the Byomkesh Bakshi detective series. The film is based on Saradindu Bandyopadhyay1s detective story Chitrachor.

Byomkesh arrives in North Bengal with Satyabati and Ajit to rest as he is on his way to recovery from an illness.He comes across a Bengali gentleman there who introduces him to the local Bengali community there and is invited to a party at a local planter’s residence.There he meets Rajani, the planter’s daughter(a young widow) and a few other people.A photograph is stolen from the host’s house which features all the members of the community which had been taken at a picnic.Incidentally copies of the same photograph which all the others possess start disappearing and even the negatives go missing from the photographer’s studio.
Byomkesh smells a rat when an alchoholic painter, Phalguni whose strength was to draw faces of people from his memory is murdered.Instead of taking rest, Byomkesh has his hands full as he seeks to find out the mystery behind the missing photographs and also catch the murderer of Phalguni.
