Aabhran is a 2013 Indian Marathi drama film released on 2013. The film is directed by Dilip Bhosale (I), produced by Khwajabhai Sayyed , music composed by Rohit Nagbhide.
Aabhran" means a cloth colorful jewelry against waist , "Potraj, is one of the main thing of the down trained society of Maharashtra. They ask in the name of goddess to live in the village for livelihood and in return bless people for their gifts so that goddess takes away pain and rage from their lives. Potraj begs from door to door with many clothes tied up around their waist, heavy jewelry in the feet making rhythmic noise and a hand-drum. But behind this colorful outfit lies the deep dark side of their existence. This movie is about Lakha- the Potraj, his beau Lakshmi, and his boy Arjun. It holds the feelings, loving a well as thoughtful struggle between dad and son. Lakha lives with his principles that his son will carry his ethics and culture which is followed through the past generations, but still he is happily carrying the overload of long lasted customs and cultures, and on the other hand Lakshmi is fighting against the breach of upper caste and still managing her tribe. She is also blaming her beau for every situation but also aware of the weakness of her husband. Whereas Arjun is still finding hard to find answers to his question that, "Why is this taking place with me?" hard to find he runs away after the function of becoming Potraj.
