Aagey Se Right, directed by first-timer Indrajit Nattoji, is a comedy of errors involving a reluctant sub-inspector Dinkar Waghmare (played by Shreyas Talpade) who loses his revolver accidentally, and while searching for it finds himself sucked into crazy situations with criminals and cops alike. There's a parallel track involving a terrorist named Jaanu, also known as Balma Rashidul Khairi (played by Kay Kay Menon)Read full review2.0

Freshly-recruited cop Dinkar Waghmare (Shreyas Talpade) would rather play marbles with the kids in his village than lose them chasing terrorists. But life seems to have other plans for him. Time and again, he becomes an accidental hero. And, the terrorist who has come by sea would rather blow up the Mumbai police headquarters than fall in love with a singer in the bar. On the face of it, Aagey Se Right has all the ingredients, including a great cast, to be a side-splitting feast of laughter.Read full review1.5

I suspect the twisted stories of such films sound a lot more exciting at verbal narration. The audience merely groans, when the self-indulgence is put up on screen. This is just a better-produced version of a film that makes it to theatres every other week. The genre is mindless comedy. You wish a lot more mind was applied into making it. Kundan Shah did the cult-classic Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro back in ’82. He screwed it up for generations of Indian filmmakers after.Read full review1.5

Till a few years ago, if a director or writer would tell you that the object of attention in his story is a pistol and how the entire film would revolve around it, you'd laugh, even scoff at, on his face. Is he out of his mind? But times have changed. Wacky concepts are the order of the day. Last week, QUICK GUN MURUGUN depicted one. This Friday, it's AAGEY SE RIGHT. AAGEY SE RIGHT is witty and humorous in parts, but at the same time, the story is so fragile that it runs out of breathRead full review1.5

When the reluctant and clumsy Dinkar Waghmare joins the police to follow in his late father's footsteps, you get Aagey Se Right, a comedy of errors. Waghmare (Talpade) needs a push to get his father's ageing motorbike working. As he splutters to work, he loses his gun. The film then follows his search for thegun which goes from B-grade actors to disgruntled retired citizens to teenage thugs.Read full review1.5

The first 15 odd minutes of Indraji Nattoji's Aage Se Right -- a title that flummoxed my autowallah twice, by the by -- sets you up rather well. You see a bunch of good actors bringing on the zaniness, and the characters all seem kinky in their own right. Unlike Sankat City, the farce is enacted in the right pitch, and while you haven't really burst into a belly laugh yet, you expect to soon enough, smiling at the thought that a studio like UTV would bankroll a project this whimsical.Read full review1.5

In a comedy, you can rarely go wrong, and when you do, you go completely wrong. There are no half measures. And it's a tough job, especially if you're handling a situational comedy where screenplay is your trump card. Sadly, there's no left or right in Indrajit Nattoji's Aage Se Right, which comes across more as a tragedy or errors. The film is about sissy cop Dinkar Waghmare's (Talpade) missing gun. He loses his gun on the first day of duty.Read full review1.0

It's the second week in a row when six films release on the same Friday. Most of the films that were released last Friday have gone unseen owing to lack of marketing in some cases and bad content in others. Aagey Se Right is among those films that have been noticed, though. UTV Spotboy, the film's producer, has an impressive record (Dev.D, Aamir, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye) and is well known to market their small films well.Read full review1.0

Aagey Se Right is a film with a catchy title, ensemble star cast and a novel premise, which unfortunately doesn’t quite create the magic fully. The film starts with a sharply executed graphic credit sequence that sets you up nicely, leaving you with a little half smile on your lips. Shreyas Talpade plays Dinkar Waghmare, a marble playing dimwit who has unexpectedly become a policeman courtesy his cop father, who died in the line of duty.Read full review
