This story is about a poor daughter named Abhagi who had lost her mother in her childhood after which her father remarried. Abhagi’s step-mother tortured her very much because of which her father brought her to his student's house in Calcutta. Avijit was a rich businessman’s only son. He was known as a social nuisance. Avijit fell in love with Abhagi and wished to marry her . His father was very happy to get his son matrimonially settled. But things got complicated during the engagement ceremony and the marriage was called off. Avijit offered some money as compensation to Abhagi, but she did not accept it. Complications started arising and Tapan,Pinki's uncle went to Abhagi’s house to know the truth. Finally the knots were undone and harmony restored.
