Abiswasi is a 2005 Indian Bengali thriller film released on 2005. The film is directed by Kamal Ray, produced by Somnath Halder , music composed by Shankar Goswami.

The movie "Abiswashi" is about the trust worthiness of relationships. Satyaki Sen (Sabyasachi Chakrabarty) is a successful businessman. Some goons kidnapped his wife Mitra (Rupa Ganguly) ,son Tablu (Rohit Sarkar) and his father (N. Viswanathan). The goons demanded a huge ransom. Satyaki sought the help of the police. The commissioner Mr. Ranjit Chakraborty (Ranjit Mullick) who was Mitra’s love in college helped Satyaki. Mitra's brother Malay (Tapas Paul) also co-operated with the cops. After seeing the goons torturing his son and wife Satyaki finally decided to give the ransom. But the cop finally successfully raided the goons' den and freed the hostages. Meanwhile Malay killed the main goon Rajatawa Dutta. Though Malay's action was initially appreciated, police Ranjit Chaktaborty later discovered that it was the police who had planned this kidnapping. Malay tried to escape but police finally arrested him. Malay also realised his mistake when he saw that Talbu whom he loved very dearly had been suffering from serious nervous problems and loss of memory. Ultimately he cooperated with Ranjit Chakrabarty. Talbu recovered. Malay gave all his money to Talbu and went back to jail.
