Adarsh is a 1983 Indian Bollywood film released on 1983. Ram, a Harijan boy, does his M.A. and wishes to give the benefit of his education to the villagers. The villagers, however, do not allow him to settle in the he takes shelter wit Ramesh in another village, without disclosing his caste. He wins the affection of all but his caste is disclosed in the end. Even so Ramesh and his family are prepared to accept him. He takes a job as a teacher where the headmasters daughter, Kavita, loves him knowing that he is a Harijan, but as he loves saroj, Rameshs sister, he marries her.
