Agun is a 1962 Indian Bengali thriller film released on 1962. The film is directed by Asit Sen, music composed by Hemanta Mukherjee.

The film is an intense picturisation of human struggle based on the contrast of too much, too little and the golden mean. Chandranath is a genius aspiring to be an alchemist. On the other hand Heeru is a rich man and leads a bohemian life. Naren follows a middle path of practicality. Chandranath leaves home to pursue his dreams. He becomes an enterpreneur and ends up losing everything including his wife and son. Heeru also meets with the same fate. The lesson of the story thus emerges clearly.
