Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Ahankar (1991)
Avik, a salesman was the son of a retired school teacher. Avik's elder brother was an officer but he was separated from his family. They lived in Garia. They were very poor. Mahua, a college student was the daughter of an industrialist. His son Rajiv was a business man.One day when Mahua and her friends were going for a picnic, Avik saw Mahua subsequent to which they fell in love. Avik didn't know that Mahua was the sister of Rajiv. One day Avik told Mahua that he had bought a car. So Mahua wanted to go Digha by Avik's Car.Seeing this, Avik requested Rajiv to lend him his car for a day. But since Rajiv had no driver, they decided that Rajiv would drive. Then they went to Digha and when they returned home, Rajive confessed that Mahua was his sister. On the other hand, Rajib's father arranged his daughter's marriage with his friend's son Tapan because he didn't approve of Avik and was ready to give money to Avik to let go of Mahua. Rajiv's father succeeded in separating Avik and Mahua though the latter were in reality not so easy to let go of their relationship. They hit upon a plan. Mahua got admitted in a hospital. The doctor said to Rajiv's father that Mahua had lost her memory and the only way out was uniting Avik and Mahua. This was promptly done and the duo were united.
