Story
District magistrate Mr. Mukherjee (Anil Chatterjee) went to his native village with this wife Mira (Subrata Chatterjee) and their twins Indranath and Chandranath. When they came back to Kolkata their boat was capsized in a storm. Mr Mukherjee his wife survived with Indranath but Chandranath was left in the boat to be discovered by a saint who brought him up. After his death Chandranath aka Lattu came to Kolkata. But he faced many problems and when he was tortured by criminals he left the place. Then he met Bhola (Dipankar De) who was a taxi driver. Lattu started to live with Bhola. Bhola tried his best to help Lattu. Once he got him a job with the district magistrate as his personal driver where he came to know that Lattu was the magistrate's own lost child, Chandranath. After many more incidents Bhola returned Lattu to his actual parents and the magistrate appointed Bhola as Chandranath's teacher.
