Ambikapathy (Dhanush) is a 2013 Indian Tamil romance, comedy film released on Jun 28, 2013. The film is directed by Anand L Rai, produced by Krishika Lulla , music composed by AR Rahman. With humongous exception, Ranjhanaa that marks southern superstar's Dhanush's debut into Bollywood, is already creating waves at the Bollywood boxoffice. Now here comes the Tamil dubbed version to enthrall Dhanush fans down South. Directed by Anand L.Rai, the film also stars Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Swara Bhaskar, Deepak Dobriyal, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Kumud Mishra and Shilpi Marwaha. Shot in Varanasi, the film revolves around Kundan's journey from when he was 13 to being a grown up man. It shows how his commitment of his first love, Zoya, seems to have no end. He is in the love for Varanasi, not because of the place but because it was there were he saw his first love. Kundan doesn't seem to give up. He smiles when she pops into his mind, secretly sees her when she passes by and he waits to propose to her. However, the day when he does, she doesn't take him seriously. Though Zoya moves to Delhi for further studies, things don't change for Kundan. He waits for her to comeback. But when she does, all his excitement dims, when she turns down his proposal. Instead, she asks him to help her get her love from College, Akram and help her marry him. Feeling terrible, the actor head on the journey to get his love meet her love, only because he knows the pain of a lover. Talking about performance, Sonam Kapoor is a sheer perform with natural elegance. Coming to the big star Dhanush, who is famous down south, looks like he is come to take over Bollywood too, with his brilliance and flawless acting. His Hindi is good, taking into consideration that this is his first time. Looks like the actor has impressed us all.
