Angaarey is a 1976 Indian Bollywood family drama film released on Jan 01, 1976. The film is directed by Govind Saraiya. Shobhas husband dies in an accident but her-in-law treat the widow as their daughter. Thakurs real daughter Bindu loves Didi. Rakesh, son Thakurs friend, under pretext of loving Bindu, actually loves Shobha. Ajay, in the garb of Rakesh, is married to Bindu. Shobha tries to commit suicide but is saved by Rakesh and they unite in the end. - Shobhas wedding took place with Kulbushan, the only son of Thakur Ram Dayal. The newly weds arrived at their home. As the bride & bride groom were being received a pertomax exploded, burning the bridegroom seriously. He succumbed to his injuries at the Hospital. Widow Shobha was accepted by her liberal minded in laws as their elder daughter. The years went on flying. Little Bindu daughter of Thakur grew up under the loving care of her Didi. She fell in love with one of her college-mate named Vijay. . Young Rakesh, son of Thakurs friend was posted in the same city as an Engineer. He happened to meet Shobha incidently and started loving her. Though Shobha tried to evade from him but Cupids arrow did not spare her too. To maintain the prestige of her family she suppressed her emotions and tried to keep away from Rakesh. . Rakesh and Bindu became friends with the intentions of seeing Shobha and pretending to call upon Bindu he often visited Thakurs house. Thakur Thakurani thought that he has started loving Bindu. So they put the responsibility of arranging the match on Shobhas shoulders sacrificing her feeling at the alter, of duty, Shobha starts negotiating. When Bindu came to know about this, she was really angry and ignorant of the fact that Shobha was not her elder sister but her widow sister-in-law, she told her parents about the flowing love between Rakesh & Shobha. The parents got stunned to hear this. Their trust in Shobha shatters. . Rakeshs fatehr on learning that his son wants to marry a widow got furious and without heeding to his pleedings. Rakesh was betrothed to Bindu. . Circumstances created tough problems. Rakesh was preplexed. Bindu was in distress. Ajay became a sad audience to the turn of events. Poor Shobha lost her ground.
