Anjaan is a 1952 Indian Bollywood romance film released on Jan 01, 1952. The film is directed by Shanti Kumar. Rai Bahadur Gopalnaths only son Manohar returned home at midnight on his birthday, and gave his cars breakdown as an excuse, for his lateness. Shrewd Gopalnath realised his sons waywardness was due to the entertainment afforded by the citys street. He sent him away immediately, for three or four months to his old friend, Seth Udhawdas Ph. D. who lived on the hillside. Accompanying him was his old friend Badri. Poor simpleton Udhawdas, was easily handled by Badri masquerading as Rajkumar. . Manohar had hardly reached his new abode, when he met a beautiful maiden, who stole his heart, and made him forget the city women. But Udhawdas followed him like a shadow and prevented him from meeting Rtana, untill Badri took over. . Love bloomed in these idyllic surroundings, but when the villager Chandu came to know of it, he attacked Manohar and hurt Ratna instead Manohar left not stone unturned to make her well again. Try as Chandu might he could not separate the lovers since Ratnas father also also agreed to the match. But at the exact time of marriage Rai Saheb arrived at the village and refused to let the marriage take place. Inspite of this Manohar went to Ratnas house, but he was waylaid and hurt by Chandus gang. Rai Saheb immediately left with his son for Delhi. Taking advantage of this.
