Ankh Micholi 1962

Ankh Micholi is a 1962 Indian Bollywood social film released on 1962. The film is directed by Ravindra.

Naintara is a theatre dancer. She originally is Maya who is blamed of murdering lady Hiramani meanwhile Shekhar enters the scenario claiming to be Naintara's husband. Naintara falls into the trap of the police and a lawyer (her neighbour) who constantly tries to murder her and it is proved that she is not Naintara but Maya. Now the query is why did Maya kill Lady Hiramani. She was her secretary and the Lady had bequeathed her entire property in her name. Lady Hiramani's brother came to know of this and he killed her sister and wanted to kill Maya, too. But here Shekhar comes to her rescue. Lady Hiramani brother is none other than the lawyer, her neighbour. But, even he didn't kill Lady Hiramani...it was his twin brother who faked it up and aimed at killing Maya.

When the maid servnat enters the bed room of Lady Hiramani she is thunder struck to find her mistress lying dead and her Lady Secretary Mala disappearing in a huff. The servant at once raises a hue and cry and the Police arrive on the spot. Meanwhile Mala escapes in a car. . The Police chases the car but all that they secure at the end of a long chase is the shattered remnaants of the car which has been smashed into smithereens by dashing on a bridge and turned turtle into a ditch. There is no trace either of Malal or her corpse anywhere thereabotus. . Next day the Morning Papers stremline the death of Mala in a car acci- dent, as also her connection with the murder of Lady Hiramani. Mala comes to read about it and at once decides to take advantage of the situation thus created. As a swquel she changes her name to Nayantara and becomes a famous dancer. . After her successful performance in the Venus theatre of Bombay one night Nayantrara retuns home only to be flabergasted fo find in her bedroom a stranger who on enquiry avers that he is her husband! She becomes furius to hear that, and calls in the Police to oust the intruder. The Police arrive but on second though, Mala stages a volte face and decides to accept the strager for what he is! . As soon as the back of the Police is turned on her, she cocks a pistol at the intruder and asks him to quit her room post haste as otherwise she will kill him without ado. . The stranger remains nonplussed however and stays on. . Next day Nayantra is arrested by th Police with the pistol in her hand and the lifeless body of her husband nearby. .
