Awwal NumberThis is the story about a cricket match between India and a one day match against Australia. But, India is constantly losing the match all because of the wicked cricketer named as Ranvir Singh aka Ronny. Ronny is the brother of the leading chairman of the Cricket Selection Committee. This Committee decides to take a decision on electing a new member named as Sunny. So Ronny is not happy with this decision and he would kill Sunny for this. Later after this, there is a news that the stadium is being haunted with the attack of the terrorist and the chairman takes the responsibility of finding out that the attacker is no other than Ronny, his own brother who plotted this because he wanted to kill Sunny, by hook or by crook.

Vikram (Dev Anand) is the President of BCCI and DGP of Police. His younger brother, Ronny is a famous cricketer of Indian team and is known for his bad behaviour on and off the field. Sunny (Aamir Khan) is an upcoming batsman who takes place of Ronny in Indian team. Ronny is annoyed at his exclusion from the team and wants to take revenge. Meanwhile some terrorists threaten the city by putting the posters and Australia will end up with a blast killing everybody in the stadium. Ronny becomes a part of this plan to take revenge on Sunny. Vikram tries his best to save the stadium and convinces Ronny to not to take part in the blast. Ronny is the only person coming between Vikram and his duty.
