The story starts with Kunjumon. He returns to the beach after sixteen years in his home. He is blamed of killing his father. But, there is his best friend who has complete trust in him and considers him that he has not killed his father. Azhakadal is a drama based movie in which, Kunjumon (Kalabhavan Mani) returns to the beach after sixteen years in a delinquent home, and still loathed by his mother and sister for having murder his father. His childhood sweet heart Kochurani (Sruthilakshmi) is one of the few who haven't lostfalth in the man and when the question the unjust local merchant (Vijayaraghavan), he finds a few followers rallying behind him.
