Baap Re Baap 1955

Baap Re Baap is a 1955 Indian Bollywood comedy film released on 1955. The film is directed by A. R. Kardar, produced by A. R. Kardar under banner named Kardar Productions.
Kumar, the only son of Raja Moti Sagar, was attracted by the charms of Kokila, the young daughter of Maya Devi who brought flowers in the palace. The mother, however, doubted the intentions of the prince and believed that there was also the wall of status to seperate them. . Col Jung Bahadur was a friend to Raja Saheb and though often persuaded by his wife, he did not propose the marriage of his daughter Rupa with Kumar. He was too proud to beg for a favour and his daughter was too silly not to try to win Kumar as husband. Raja crazily called a press conference to select number one girl as the bride for his son and from the many applications selected six, one only from a province. Mamu was asked to go round and gather relevant details but Kumar managed to accompany him and frustrate his fathers plans. Then gathered at the palace, fathers, mothers and daughters, but Kumar dropped disputes between them and sent them back. . Thus frustrated, Raja Saheb took revenge upon Kokila and her mother. They were turned out and their cottage burnt. Kumar was threatened to be disinherited when he refused to accept Rupa but Kumar himself gave up everything and went away. . At last, parents gave in. Mamu was sent to find out and bring Kumar back home. Kumar tested the intentions of his parents and happily got the consent and blessings of all for his marriage with Kokila.
