Story

Babar is a 1960 Indian Bollywood historical film released on 1960. The film is directed by Hemen Gupta.
THE History knows Baber as a great fighter but tells us very little about him as a great father a tender and a soft heart. This story of Baber deals with that particula aspect of babers character. . Baber had a weak spot in his characcter only for two things and that was for only wine and his darling son, Humayun. . It was Humayuns eighteenth birthday and an occcasion for rejoiccing. On this particular happy moment, the royal poet, Mirza Asif invited Humayun to his house for a party. Baber agreed to allow Humayun to go to Mirzas house but without having the slightest idea that Humayun will be involved in the biggest romantic episode of his life. . Mirzas daughter, Hamida Bano, was not only young but beautiful also. The outcome of the meeting between Huayun and Hamida was that Humayun fell in love with her at the first sight. Soon Humayun found that he coculd not live long without meeting Hamida. Hamida was approached by the beloved of Humayuns friend, Kalim. Kalim and his(beloved) Hijab had to do lot of thining and practical tactics to bring Hamida round to exchange letters with Humayun and then ultimately meet him. . On the other hand, Baber was quick to note a sudden but constant change in Humayun. He found Humayun rather lost, upset and indifferent to worldly surroundings. The result was that Baber felt very anxious about his beloved son, Humayun and started to keep an eye upon him personally. When, therefore, Hamida and Humayun were having a tete-a- tete, Baber was very nearby in hiding watching and hearing everything. Immediately agerwards, Baber sent for Mirza Asif, scolded him, Pulled him up and even told him that he was conspiring with the help of his daughter to get hold of the Kingdom of Baber. Baber scared him so much that Mirza Asif had to leave the country. . Humayun felt very lonely without Hamida and suddenly he fell very ill, when all his best efforts to bring them back close to him failed. kalim, the friend, tried to give him a helping handbut unfortunately, he was involved in a murder rap and was sentenced to be hanged. Humayun, to enable him to see his beloved, for the last time, bailed him out on his personal security but as luck would have it, Kalim could not come back in time. . Now the law demanded that Humayun pay the death penalty in place of Kalim. . The position was that Humayun was facing death....Hamida Bano was going away from him for ever....Baber was shocked beyond expression finding that his most dear son was going to be executed by force of his own law.
