Bagher Bachcha is a 2008 Indian Bengali drama film released on Jun 27, 2008. The film is directed by Gouri Shankar Das, produced by Sanjib Mundra.

Bagher Bachcha is the story about two gangsters Pratapaditya Choudhury and Champak Roy. Pratapaditya has a sidekick called Shakti (Siddhanta). Shakti is an orphan who has a heart of gold and has grown up under Pratapaditya from his childhood. Pratapaditya's daughter Shruti was Shakti's childhood friend turned to love. Pratapaditya's rival and biggest threat is Champak Roy and Shakti is Pratapaditya's strongest weapon. Shakti respects and loves Pratapaditya not knowing the inner man. Both the rival gangs clash continuously resulting in the misery of the localities. Mean while Shruti returns to the village with her college mates Farida, Lily & others after completing her studies. While she was away she realised that she had fallen in love with Shakti. After returning Shruti confesses her love to Shakti. But Shakti knew that as Shruti was his boss's daughter they could never have any social relation. After lots of hue and fuss Shakti ultimately gives in Shruti's love. Shakti is immensely helped by his best friend Hari. Mean while the two gangsters collaborate amongst themselves to avoid further destruction. Champak Roy demands nothing but Shakti's head. Pratapaditya realises that if he sacrifices one shakti he would get a 100 in return. He plan fully sends Shakti into a trap. But both Shruti and Hari over hear his conversation with Champak Roy. Shakti returns alive by luck. Days after this incident Shakti confesses his love for Shruti infront of Pratapaditya. Herein starts the open enemity. Pratapaditya kicks out Shakti and swears to kill him. At this juncture Shruti's friends leave the spot. The war of love begins. Hari gets killed by Pratapaditya and Champak's men. Before dying he reveals everything to Shakti. Shakti vows to take revenge. He rescues Shruti from Pratapaditya's house and challenges him from barring him to take Shruti out of the village. During an action Shakti gets injured and Shruti is taken back to her father's place. Champak and Pratapaditya decides to marry Shruti with Champak's hooligan son. Shakti is rescued and nursed by Farida and her allies. At this juncture they are helped by the local inspector Mr. Prakash (Mihir Das). Prakash is proved to be a man of elements. The Prakash - Shakti combo upsurges the villagers and ultimately truth is brought to to justice. The gangsters are forced by the entire mass to kill each other. The lovers re-unite.
