Roopa Thakur lives a rich lifestyle in Mumbai, along with her beau, Yash; his bro and sister-in-law, Shanti, and their boy, Ajay. Roopa wants Ajay to marry her niece, Shalini, but Ajay is in affection with Kamini Chopra. Roopa and Yash are infertile and their business continues to intact the heavy losses. Things only get worse when a fire crushes part of their factory. Before they could reclaim the money from the insurance company, the workers go on an endless strike, and the State Bank of India agrees to preclude on its loan. Yash turns to alcohol while his bro hands him financially. Roopa turns to creeds and prays day and night so that things turn around. Her things turn the rest of the family against her so much so that she feels exposed that they are out to kill her. Things get poor when she finds out that Yash is having some kind of affair with Dolly, and shifts to get religious advice from Poona-based Swami Prakash Anand - with ill-fated with the results.
