Beta is the film of Raju, the only kid of a widowed multi millionaire. Raju's dad can provide him anything he needs but Raju's only motivation is to get mom's love, in order to charm Raju, his dad gets married to Nagmani, thinking that she will take concern of Raju more than his real mom would. Raju becomes completely dedicated to his stepmother, doing whatever she needs. Time moves by, Raju grows up and gets wed to Saraswati. Saraswati finds that Nagmani's motherly love for Raju is fake and all what Nagmani is absorbed in, is capturing Raju's property.

A lonely motherless child, feeling the lack of a mother's love, starts to love, respect his step mother, when his father marries again but the shrewd step mother has other plans in her mind. She deliberately keeps her step-son uneducated and tries to keep him illitterate guy. She has her eyes on the wealth for which her step son in the only sole inheritor.
