Diamonds are for never! Sometimes the dangling 'carat' is just a lure to trap you. In a bloodied mine of diamond devilry. Kunal (Kunal Khemu) is one such man who gets suckered in by the glitter. Landing a job with a leading diamond company in Cape Town, he gets seduced by the lust of money and power. His almost fairytale life with Arzoo (Amrita Puri), slowly turning into a nightmare, as he's dragged into a diamond trap. The one-time pizza delivery boy

There's a sense of deja vu when you watch BLOOD MONEY. Your mind races back to the 1986 movie directed by Mahesh Bhatt which was a super hit. BLOOD MONEY too is from the Bhatt production house and the storyline is somewhat the same. You see the hero caught in a 'one way street' as explained by Paresh Rawal to Sanjay Dutt in NAAM. The location then was Dubai. In BLOOD MONEY, the scene shifts to South Africa Kunal (Kunal Khemu) and his wife Arzoo

The foremost inkling you get on watching the promos of BLOOD MONEY is that it is reminiscent of Vishesh Films' former endeavors. An aspiring middle class guy who dreams of attaining the luxuries and extravagance that life has to tender, but abruptly locates himself in the midst of notorious people indulging in nefarious deeds -- a formula the Bhatts have lucratively mastered over the years. Conversely, a minuscule fragment of the media

Bollywood believes in formulas and the Bhatts just swear by them. So if it's a film from the Bhatt camp, you can safely assume that they are presenting a tried and tested formula. The question is: how well they have presented the formula. The answer: They have presented the formula in a way that you were expecting it to be presented. Blood Money stars Kunal Kemu and Amrita Puri. Blood Money hardly has anything that you would not expect

Blood Money’s trailer gives out the film in 2.05 minutes. And if those posters of Kunal Khemu in the pool with a bunch of babes are stimulating enough to drag you to the theatre, think twice. Kunal Kadam (Kunal Khemu) is a fresh MBA who bags a job with Cape Town-based Trinity Diamonds. Headed by businessman Zaveri (Manish Choudhary), Trinity Diamonds deals with more than just diamonds. Attracted to the high life, Kunal takes up the job and moves to South Africa

From Jannat to Jashnn, the Bhatt banner has more or less exploited the age-old standard structure of the human-drama genre to the hilt. The story shows absolutely no signs of renovation. A small-town guy dreams of making it big and comes to city. His elevated ambitions corrupt him en route. He is estranged from his love. Further the unethical route is a one-way lane from where it's impossible to retract. And by the time realization strikes, it's too late

Like the character played by Tom Cruise in the 1993 thriller ‘The Firm’, from which ‘Blood Money’ is so clearly inspired, our hero is seduced by the lure of the new lifestyle that his job affords him. But when he stumbles upon the truth that his bosses are engaged in sinister businesses involving illegal trading, mafia funding, and murder, he must ask himself if he’s comfortable living off such ill-gotten gains.

Abbe keede, you think you can steal from me, snarls a man in the dimly-lit basement before he goes on to drill the horrified target in the knee. The brutality of this incident would have had some impact if it wasn't for the villain's incessant produce of 'Do you know who I am's?' What it does instead is tell you right away that Blood Money is exceptionally hollow in its aspirations. For a movie that is set against the flourishing diamond industry and broaches on its grey zones
