Surprise, surprise, surprise! Sometimes, the expectations from a movie are zilch, but what unfolds on screen is beyond expectations. It surprises you, to put it simply. On face-value, BOLO RAAM looks like it's straight out of 1970s cinema. A movie with predictability written all over it. A movie that carries zero hype and matches it with zero content. But BOLO RAAM isn't archaic, isn't the usual masala, isn't zero content.Read full review2.0

First things first. What's Naseeruddin Shah doing in Bolo Ram. He has such a dispensable role as a two-scene psychiatrist, it's almost a shame. Then again, what's Om Puri doing in Bolo Ram? He has such a poorly-etched routine cop act, he could almost sleepwalk through it. Also, doesn't Padmini Kolhapure deserve a better comeback film than one which relegates her to the status of a corpse after a one-dimensional screaming mom act?Read full review2.0

They hire some of the best acting talent in the business. And, then fail to even come up with a halfway decent film. Leaving you completely exasperated. Bolo Raam is one such film. It’s been made to showcase the six-packs of this RishiRead full review0.5

He's got a short fuse, this Raam (Bhutani) boy. Buoyed and kept on an even keel by his momma (Kolhapure), he kinda loses it when she dies and he's found standing by her bloodied body, knife in hand. Did he do it? Didn't he? Was it somebody else? Do I look like I give a ...? Well, somebody does. So this coppie, an Inspector Rathi (Puri) starts asking questions. Our boy won't say a word. Don't say it... as if some cat got his tongue!Read full review
