Bombay is a 1995 Indian Bollywood drama, action, social, romance, mu film released on Apr 07, 1995. The film is directed by Mani Ratnam, produced by Mani Ratnam.
A Hindu man and a Muslim lady fall in liking in a small village and move to Mumbai, where the two have two kids. But due to the growing religious tensions and engaging riots threaten to separate the family apart. Shekhar hails from the family of Bramhin Tamil family. Shaila Banu hails from a Muslim family. Both of them meet each other and fall in love. Shekhar wants to get married to Shaila, but her father objects to this marriage and throws him outside the house. Then, he decides to get married to her at any cost. And after getting back to his place, he decides to send the tickets for her to come to Bombay. With no choice left with Shaila, she goes to Bombay and married Shekhar. Now, Shaila delivers twins and they name them Kabir and Kamal. Now, Kabir and Kamal both are raised as per the Tamil and Muslim cultures. Soon after this, a Hindu Muslim riot takes place and the children are separated. But their parents find them and get them back. Now, even their grandparents come to see their children and their grandchildren.
