Bondini 1989

Bondini is a 1989 Indian Bengali adventure film released on 1989. The film is directed by Sujit Guha.

Sujit is a rich person who loves to live with his books instead of business. Raghu and old servant looks after him. One day a young girl comes to his house crying for shelter as her father is about to sell her off. Sujit offers her shelter the girl Aparajita. Sujit is slowly attracted by her attractiveness and behaviour and wants to marry her. Sujit has a coursin brother, a police officer named Bhaskar. Bhaskar loves Sutapa, a young college student. Bhaskar wants to get married but Sutupa his waiting for her elder sister Ranu who is unmarried and works outside Kolkata. She earns money for her family and the youngest sister of her family Sutupa is waiting for her return. Sujit invites a Bhaskar as a witness at his marriage registration. On that day a middle aged man with police comes to search for Aparajita, who claims that she is his daughter. Aparajita comes and tells a false story against Sujit and Raghu and the police want to arrest them. Raghu bribes her partner to take off the case . The police goes away with Aparajita. Sujit tells the story to Bhaskar . They go to the police station to file case . Then they come to know that there is no officer by the name of Swarup Ghosh . Mr Poddar a senior police officer tells Sujit that this is a totally fake incident, the types of which has happened earlier. Sujit comes back to his house and finds a bag , inside it he finds Rs.15000 worth of ornaments and wedding sarees of his mother . He also finds a letter through which Aparajita begs for forgiveness. They forgive her. Aparajita narrates her past . She is originally Ranu. Her father died few years back . She had promise to her father to look after her family . Her youngest sister is ill for and for her operation Rs.25000 is needed. Ranu tried to get a job but failed. Failing to get a job she joined a drama company . There she starts acting with rich males and blackmailing them . But Ranu falls in love with Sujit. The goons try to force Ranu to work for them again but she refuses and when she is attacked Bhaskar saves her. The goons inform the police that ranu is Aparajita and Sujit and Raghu are called by the police to identify her. They fail to identify her and also bribe the goons so that they also dont identify her. In the end Ranu marries Sujit and Sutapa marries Bhaskar.
