Chaar is a 2014 Indian Bengali drama film released on Jun 13, 2014. The film is directed by Sandip Ray.

The film begins with Boteshwarer Abodaan where it is about well known author Bateshwar Sikdar(Paran Banerjee) who is about to complete a serialized novel where one of his lead female characters, Aloka, is in critical condition. Soon enough over a very short span of time he comes across certain characters who tries to convince him that the character must live and that includes a young lady as well. A month

Bondhu is about the tale of two friends, Mahim and Pratul who meet after 25 years and one of them gets very anxious in thinking about the moment which is around the corner. Though they don’t meet on at the specified location and time, however when Mahim meets Pratul he realizes what or who Pratul has become. Kagtarua is the tale of a man’s (Mriganka Mukherjee played by Saswata Chatterjee) interaction with a scarecrow when he is stranded in a desolate are after his car runs out of fuel and his driver goes to fetch fuel. It is at that moment he notices a scarecrow coming towards him and then it becomes a human and he realizes that it is none other than his servant, now dead whom he had falsely charged of theft….. What happens later? Poriksha is about the test that an engineer Binayak Bose, faces way back in 1947 when his fiancé Mallika comes to him at night one day and tries to test his character as he is known for his wild ways in those days. She tests him all right with questions and with a particular test which he passes with flying colours, but later on when Mallika sees a picture on the wall, she realizes, she shouldn’t have tested him…
After all he was always hers.
