Charulata 2011 2012

Charulata 2011 is a 2012 Indian Bengali drama film released on Mar 02, 2012. The film is directed by Agnidev Chatterjee, produced by Bipin Kumar Vohra.

The film is about a childless lady called Chaiti who has everything to fulfill her materialistic needs, but thanks to her workaholic husband Bikram, she is very lonely. Down the line she happens to meet Sanjay and gets physically and emotionally involved with him. What happens next ?

The modern Charulata is about Chaiti,a bored housewife who turns to the internet to look for
other attractions as she doesn’t get the attention from her husband she seeks as her husband
is very busy with his work always.She assumes an identity as ‘Charulata 2011’ on FB and
becomes friends with Amol, another person whom we assume is him.There are supposed reasons for
this attraction as she is insecure, lonely and also deprived of her husband’s love.Slowly she
starts getting intimate with Amol over FB though they never meet.When they do meet finally,
it is just a moment of passion and then instant hatred from Charu’s side.Yet their paths
cross again as Charu discovers that Amol is actually Sanju, Bikram’s cousin.She is shocked and
at a loss as to what to do.She is torn between two men.

Sanju lands up at their place and they carry on their affair and even after he leaves, the
moments constantly linger on.Because it is a modern version, the two characters are shown to
have met through the internet on FB, the most happening social networking website in the world
currently.There is again uncertainty in Charu’s life after Sanju leaves and when she comes to
know that she is pregnant, she is shocked.Her husband is shocked to know about the affair
though he really doesn’t come to know who he is actually.The relationship between Bikram and
Charu goes through further trial and tribulations but somehow the film does end on a positive
note.
