Chhoti Chhoti Baten 1965

Chhoti Chhoti Baten is a 1965 Indian Bollywood musical,family drama,offbeat film released on Jan 01, 1965. The film is directed by Motilal, produced by Motilal. The film is a satire on the trials and tribulation of middle class people in Indian cities. It centres round the life of low-paid clerk in a firm who is unhappy because he is unable to satisfy the demands of his exacting boss, nagging wife and college-going son and daughter. When a relative in Africa leaves him a large fortune, he provides his family all the material comforts they had clamoured for and himself retires to a village where he finds some happiness by helping to improve the lot of the farmers through co-operative farming, a hospital and setting up a school. . The peace he had longed for, however, eludes him and his happiness is shortlived as he soon finds himself involved in a scandal when a female school teacher takes shelter in his house to escape molestation by a rogue. Deeply shocked by the hostile attitude of the villagers who had loved and respected him as a benefactor, he retires to a lonely spot for meditation. Convinced of his innocence and nobility of character, the villager rush to apologise to him but see him lifeless his soul, if not his body having at last found peace.
