Rudra Chatterjee always wanted to become a choreographer but studied engineering to fulfill his father's dream. Rudra wants to stage a dance drama Chitrangada on the occasion of Tagore's 150th birth anniversary. Partho plays a percussionist who wants to join Rudra's group. During the rehearsal, Rudra and Partho slowly get attracted to each other. Rudra considers becoming a woman in order to be able to adopt a baby.
