With two flops -- Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne and Ek --The Power of One, and two successes -- Kya Kool Hai Hum and Apna Sapna Money Money, director Sangeeth Sivan has so far had a mixed kitty. His newest release, Click, falls somewhere in between. Though a copy -- Click bears close resemblance to Masyuki Ochiai's Shutter, The Ring and The Grudge because of its look and graphics -- the film is watchable. Horror film buffs will enjoy Shreyas Talpade and Sadaa's performance.Read full review2.5

Post KYAA KOOL HAI HUM and APNA SAPNA MONEY MONEY, Sangeeth Sivan has got saddled with the image of making laughathons. Partly also because his non-comedies like CHURA LIYAA HAI TUMNE and EK - THE POWER OF ONE fell flat on their face. With CLICK, Sivan proves that he's at home in horror segment too. The spirits are vindictive and in Bollywood, very predictable too, right? In fact, the spirits here are in their 20s, have dark, uncombed hair, wear white saris and have one expression from start to end.Read full review2.5

She comes back from his past to haunt his present. But does she really create a scare, this crestfallen, sad little spirit who suddenly begins to peer at him from behind mirrors, under beds, inside closets and sobs tears of blood, wherever she goes? Not really. After a few initial jumps here and there in the beginning, you don't get the heebie-jeebies, simply because the director reveals too much, too fast. Also, the special effects are not quite state-of-the-artRead full review2.0

The very first dialogue of the film says, “ Exposure ka matlab bare exposure nahi hota ” (exposure doesn’t mean bare exposure). Only if director Sangeeth Sivan could appreciate the opening line of his film, Click could have been a much better flick. Click is as barefaced a horror film can get with literal in-your-face thrill treatment. The spook strategy dates back to Ramsay days with white-faced ghosts popping out their white-eyeballs to colourless effect.Read full review2.0

How hard can it be to make a reasonably diverting horror film if all you’re doing is copying? Well, if you’re Sangeeth Sivan, the answer is: very hard. Sivan steals liberally from the 2008 Hollywood film Shutter, which itself is based on a Thai film, but he can’t even string together the material coherently. Click is just plain awful. Click begins with Shreyas Talpade as Avi, the hotshot photographer, having an intimate moment with his model-girlfriend Sonia, played by Sada.Read full review1.0

Click, directed by Sangeeth Sivan, is a horror movie. And just so you know, I don't mean that as a genre description. This embarrassingly amateurish film stars Shreyas Talpade as a (rather unconvincing) hotshot photographer who's returning home from an evening of drunken revelry, with his equally inebriated girlfriend at the wheel of their car. When they accidentally knock down a girl on a desolate road, the couple flees the spot.Read full review1.0

Click is a cheesy attempt at making a slick horror film, which doesn't click at all. Right from the beginning, as Shreyas Talpade appears in a Jon Bon Jovi inspired hairstyle, you sense that this film will make you sigh from weariness, not fright. Shreyas plays a swish photographer, who is busy clicking his model girlfriend Sada, except she is needlessly fooling around.Read full reviewNR
