Daag 1973

Daag is a 1973 Indian Bollywood social film released on 1973. The film is directed by Yash Chopra, produced by Yash Chopra under banner named Yash Raj Films.

Sunil Kohli (Rajesh Khanna) and Sonia (Sharmila Tagore) love each other &and get married. They go for their honeymoon. On the way they spend a night at the bunglow of Sunil bon Mr Kapoor (Hari Shivdaroni) which is occupied by his son Dheeraj Kapoor (Prem Chopra). Dheeraj welcomes the two of them and allowes them to spend the night at their bunglow. Next morning when Sunil leaves the house, Dheeraj attempts to rape Sonia. Sunil enters & rescues Sonia but Dheeraj is killed. The police arrest Sunil and sentence him to prison for life. On the way to the prison a fight breaks out amongst the prisoners and the driver loses control of the van resulting in an accident which kills all the ocoupants. Devastated at there turn of events, Sonia relocates & becomes a school teacher & lives the rest of her life as a widow. Years later she finds out that Sunil is still alive and has got a new identity as Sudhir. He is married to a rich and attractive girl Chandni (Rakhee) and has a child.

The lyrical love of Sonia and Sunil is shattered when he is hauled for the murder of his bosss son. A quirk of fate brings Sunil across Chandni who had become a victim of Dhirajs lust. In the midst of happiness Sunil and Sonia are united only to be threatened to the thrown asunder when Sunils past haunts his present.
