Dal - The Gang is a 2001 Indian Bollywood drama film released on Aug 31, 2001. The film is directed by Vicky Ranawat, produced by Sanjay Thakur.
Aslam Khan, David Gonsalves, Yogi Raj, Uttam Sharma and Pritam Singh are five buddies from completely different religious backgrounds, who live in a very small slum that is soon to be destructed by a local landlord, Dharamchand Karodimal. The only solution to save its destruction is by paying him 2 Crore rupees, which they get from a criminal named Rudranarayan, who wants them to keeps a video-tape from a bank. They do steal the video and in the techniques five guards are murdered by Rudranarayan's men. The five get the amount, but shortly thereafter they are handcuffed by the police, tried in Court, and are sentenced to be hanged. While they stay on their respective ends at death-row, another individual, Bakhtawar Singh, is brought in and placed in their phone. When Bakhtawar hears their condition, he helps them to vanish and even assists them to recover the tape, so that they can get the sum to save their slum. What they do not know is that the tape has very confidential information that is of essential value to a dictator named Dadson, who along with Gajraj Daruwala, and others will leave no corner unturned to get the tape.
