Story
The story is of a simple village boy called Kesha (played by Girish Kulkarni) who has a dream of Datta (God) under a tree. What follows is how the local netas advertise this for their own political benefits. A temple is built instead of a medical institute. The village becomes an excursion centre and gets crowded and crummy. The temple’s committee starts raking in for the financial greed from the devotees and flanges on alcohol and celebrity dance shows. All this distresses Anna (played by Dilip Prabhavalkar), an elderly man who wants some real advancement in the village. Roads are constructed, water and electricity are provided but with it comes the channelizing of God. Development take place – but in which manner? Check out this page for more updates on Deool.
