Dhanyi Meye is a 1971 Indian Bengali comedy,family film released on Mar 12, 1971. The film is directed by Arabinda Mukhopadhyay.

Kalipati Dutta, a wealthy business man of Kolkata was crazy about football. He had a club named '' sarbamangala sporting club .'' His yonger brother Bagala was the captain of thes team and his brother in law Ghanteshwar was the goal keeper .''Sarvamangalya sporting club '' went to Harbhange village to play the final match of Langteswar challenge shield .Gobordhan Chowdhry ,a rich person of that village, arranged this competition in the memory of his father . Gobordhan expresses his desire to retain this shield in his village . Ghanteswar made the rreferee unconscious by plying him with wine . Gobordhan made the priest referee. Bagala played well and scored a dozen goals. Then being angry Gobordhan disimissed the match. To teach Bagala a lesson he arranged the marriage of Bagala with his own sister 's daughter named Manasa who is simple but restless. Kalipati could not accept Manasa as a younger brother's wife.Decide to break the relationship betwen them but Manasa won everyone's heart by her attitude . But she was compelled to give her sign in the divorce paper and returns to Harbhanga .,''Sarbamangala club again went to Harbhanga to play the abondoned match . Harbhanga was determined tp win the match and so they hired six players of Kolkata maidan . But Manasa comspired with Bhattacharjee to drive away those players, ''Sarbanangala sporting club '' beat Harbhanga by one goal of Bagala . Coming to know about the conspiracy of Manasa Gobordhan beat her badly . Then Kalipati saved her and accepted her as a younger brothers wife.
